SANDOWN

Sandown seafront is just yards from the town's shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

It has a BLUE FLAG WINNER safe sandy beach that is ideal for bathing. There will always be plenty of room on the beach as the miles of sand run right the way around The Bay.

During the summer season the beach is machine cleaned and litter is picked up on a daily basis.

Along The Esplanade you will find bowls, crazy golf and a pitch and putt course.

The Zoo with its Tiger Sanctuary and the Dinosaur Museum is a few minutes walk along the coast heading towards yaverland.

The White Air Extreme Sports Festival is based at Yaverland.

Sandown is one of the few towns, which still has a usable pier. On the pier are amusements, fairground rides and facilities for those holiday makers who are anglers.

The family can be entertained for many hours, or just sit and look at the views.

White Air Extreme Sports Festival is based at Yaverland.

Sandown Carnival in July is the Island's first of the season, with both the Regatta and illuminated Carnivals in August.

You can enjoy a pleasure flight from Sandown Airport and view the Island from another perspective.
