VENTNOR

Ventnor is one of the warmest places in the U.K. with its own micro climate, the local Botanical Gardens are able to grow sub tropical plants that cannot be seen anywhere else in the country.

Along the seafront is the harbour with its own Fishery where you can watch the local fisherman bring in their catch and buy their freshly caught fish.

At the far end of the Bay is The Spyglass Inn which is best know for its seafood and live music.

Ventnor has its own brewery and it's beers can be brought through out the island.

For those of you who like the beach it is a great place to surf and bodyboard or just relax and soak up the sun.

Ventnor also has its own 12 hole golf course. It is the oldest course on the island founded in 1892, guests are made very welcome.

If you fancy a boat trip along the coast Cheetah Marine offer boat trips from Ventnor Haven harbour.

Longshoremans Museum is house in a converted cottage along the Esplanade with its Historic and Nautical items.

Just a short drive down Undercliff Road you will find Isle of Wight Glassworks where you can watch the glassblowers in action making a vast array of ornaments.
